Performance Management North East. Poor performing employees are a significant cost to any business so it is essential to manage and incentivise performance effectively.

Why Performance Management?

Employees are not performing their best impacts on productivity and therefore profitability. Therefore businesses need to address poor performance in order to support the employee to improve, or to ultimately manage out of the business.

Secondly, in order to retain top performers, they need to be rewarded. In other words, north east businesses should think about implementing performance related pay or some other incentive scheme. North East businesses should compare the performance of their employees against their performance matrix, or performance standards. When an employee falls short of the standards, remedial action should be taken, informally at first then via a formal capability procedure.
