Employee Engagement Survey North East

Do you know how your employees feel about working for you? Are they happy at work? Are there any areas of their work or work environment that can be improved?

An employment engagement survey will inform you how engaged your employees are.

A happy workforce

Having a happy workforce ultimately means greater profitability. A happy workforce is a more productive one. In other words, happier employees are more likely to perform well and stay with you. Consequently you benefit from increased profits, less absenteeism and reduced costs associated with recruitment and training new starters.

Measuring employee engagement through employee engagement surveys

You may think you know what the key challenges are, but it’s important to obtain accurate feedback from your employees. The simplest and easiest way to do this is to design an employee engagement survey asking questions about areas such as:

  • their role
  • management support
  • relationship with peers
  • the benefits package
  • the working environment
  • stress at work

Employee Engagement Action Plan

It’s important that your employees feel valued and heard. Once you have collated responses, you need to analyse areas for improvement and develop an action plan targeting these areas. In other words, your employees need to know you are taking their concerns on board.

Workforce Strategy and Plan

The action plan can be incorporated into your workforce strategy and plan. This focuses your HR strategy and efforts on undertaking key activities that are going to have a direct impact on staff wellbeing and engagement. Furthermore this will support your corporate strategy and deliverables you want to achieve in the short and medium term.

Measuring Success

Once you have delivered all the actions as a result of the employee engagement survey, it is recommended that you repeat the survey to measure employee engagement against the previous results.

You should notice that the employee engagement scores have improved, accompanied by reduced absenteeism, reduced staff turnover and increased productivity.
