Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are essential for creating workplaces where everyone feels respected, valued and able to contribute. Modern organisations benefit from a wide range of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, and inclusive workplaces are more innovative, collaborative and productive.
However, equality and inclusion do not happen automatically. Employees need to understand how their behaviour, language and everyday decisions influence workplace culture. Even unintentional behaviour can sometimes exclude others or create uncomfortable working environments.
This course introduces the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion and explains how employees can contribute to respectful and inclusive workplaces. It explores how bias can influence behaviour, the importance of treating colleagues fairly, and how everyday actions can support inclusion.
Learners will also explore the different forms discrimination can take, the role employees play in preventing inappropriate behaviour, and how inclusive behaviour helps organisations create positive working environments for everyone.
By the end of the course, employees will understand how their actions contribute to workplace culture and how they can support fairness, respect and inclusion in everyday interactions.
