Basic Life Support for Care Workers

1 Lesson

Learn how to respond confidently and correctly in a life-threatening emergency. This course provides essential theory knowledge for all care workers, in line with CQC Regulation 18, Care Certificate Standard 12, and Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.

It covers how to recognise cardiac arrest, deliver CPR to adults, children and infants, use an AED, manage choking, and place someone in the recovery position. The module forms the theory component of Basic Life Support and must be followed by a practical skills assessment. Suitable for housing, care and community settings.
